2023 Bond Projects - Parks and Recreation Artificial Turf Project We're thrilled to announce that GeoSurfaces is now in the process of preparing fields for artificial turf at J.B. Hunt Park and Randall Tyson Sports Complex. The City of Springdale will be the only city in the country with this high quality, artificial turf. Artificial turf will be placed at J.B. Hunt, Randall Tyson Sports Complex, and eventually the baseball fields at Shaw Family Park (also to be completed with 2023 Bond funds). This project, as well as many others, would not be possible without the support of our residents. Thank you for your support on the 2023 Bond. We are excited to see all of these projects come to life!

Energy Awareness Month is underway! Here's your weekly tip from our friends at Southwestern Electric Power Company - SWEPCO. Here are three ways to save on heating this Fall and Winter: 1. Have your furnace and ductwork inspected annually. Loose or broken ductwork accounts for 15-35% of a homeā€™s energy loss. Change furnace filters every month. 2. Install a smart thermostat, which automatically adjusts to energy saving temperatures. 3. Install a humidifier and set it at 35% to 40% humidity in the winter. This will help your home feel warmer at a lower temperature setting. More tips can be found by visiting SWEPCO's website at https://www.swepco.com/savings/home/energy/heating-cooling Weatherizing programs, rebates, and incentives are also available! Learn more about the money saving program and more at https://www.swepco.com/savings/home/money/incentives/

Though the offices are a bit "divided" today, we're cheering on all of the Har-ber and Springdale football players as they battle for the big win! #springdalear #makingithappen #wildcatsvsbulldogs

Wagon Wheel Lane Closure
This fall, help your local waterways by keeping leaves out of the path of stormwater. When it rains, stormwater picks up anything in its path, including fallen leaves, and moves it to the nearest storm drain. Too many leaves hitting the storm drain at once could cause flooding. Leaves that make it into the drain will be emptied into a creek or stream, adding excess nutrients to the water, which can cause uncontrollable algae growth that can lead to decreased oxygen levels and fish kills. Whether you plan to leave the leaves, compost, mulch mow, or bag and dispose of your leaves, raking or blowing them out of the streets, storm drains, and ditches can help alleviate stormwater pollution and keep your NWA waters healthy.
