The Springdale Police Department would like to proudly announce the promotion of Jordan Jacobs to the rank of Corporal.
Corporal Jacobs has been an Officer with the Springdale Police Department for 7 years, serving in the patrol division. Corporal Jacobs is a Field Training Officer and has been assigned as a K9 handler with his partner Kratos. Corporal Jacobs and Kratos has deployed hundreds of times proving success in narcotic detection and locating and apprehending fleeing suspects.
Corporal Jacobs enjoys relaxing with his family and dogs while not protecting and serving the citizens of Springdale.

As fireworks go on sale; we want to remind our residents of our city ordinance in discharging fireworks inside the city of Springdale.
No fireworks that travel on stick are permitted to be discharged in the city limits.
All other fireworks are allowed to be discharged within the city limits between the hours of 8:00AM and 10:00 PM July 1st through July 4th.
Those under the age of 16 discharging fireworks must be under supervision by someone at least 21 years of age.

Today Detective Group (photographed with Chief Gamble) graduated from the 25th session of the Crime Scene Technician Certificate Program from the Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute in Little Rock. This is a 6 week in depth course in all vital aspects of processing crime scenes. The traffic light at 48th and Sunset (east side of 540 overpass) is out due to a motor vehicle accident. Officers will be directing traffic. Please avoid the area if possible or use caution if going through. Thank you for your patience as it is being worked on.
***Missing Juvenile***
The Springdale Police Department is needing help in locating a missing juvenile.
Zuria Martinez age 10 was last seen around 4:00 on May 29th at her residence in Springdale. Zuria is 5'4" 160 lbs has long light brown hair and brown eyes. Zuria was last seen wearing a black Elmdale Elementary t shirt and jeans with no shoes.
This case is still under investigation and if anyone has seen or knows of Zuria's whereabouts please contact the Springdale Police Department at 479-751-4542 or our Criminal Investigation Division at 479-750-8139.

***Missing Juvenile***
The Springdale Police Department is requesting assistance in locating Timothy Blaisdell. Timothy is 14 years old 5’4” and weighs approximately 140 lbs. Timothy has his left ear pierced and was last seen wearing gray shorts and a blue or gray t shirt, black combat boots and possibly has headphones on. Timothy is autistic and has other known medical conditions.
Timothy was last seen on 05/22/24 at around 6:00 PM walking in the area of Monitor Rd and E. Scott Hollow Rd. If anyone comes in contact with Timothy or knows of his whereabouts, please call the Springdale Police Department at 479-751-4542.

Captain Derek Wright recently completed the 22 week School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) at Northwestern University. The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction on numerous topics including Leadership, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Applied Statistics, Planning and Policy Development, Budgeting and Resource Allocation.
Each student is academically challenged through written examinations, projects, presentations and quizzes in addition to a staff study paper that are all required parts of the curriculum. Upon successful completion, students are awarded undergraduate credit from Northwestern University.
We look forward to Captain Wright using the knowledge and skills that he gained from the program to serve our community!

Received an atta boy for Officer Solis from a citizen. Officer Solis saw this group of youth practicing and took some time to congratulate them on their hard work and dedication. The kids and parents were very grateful for his time and the positive impact he made. Even heard word there was a foot race involved! Great job Officer Solis; we appreciate you and all of our Officers who work hard everyday to make a difference in our community!!
