Station 1 and 4 trained on high rise operations. Fires in tall buildings require different tactics to be successful. Today crews trained on using the standpipe connection to deliver water to upper floors. #teamspringdale

Four years ago the department was devastated when we lost our brother and firefighter, Dean Loos. Although it’s been four years, the vacancy he left is still strongly felt. Dean was the embodiment of a firefighter and believed in the brotherhood to his very core. Today, we remember him and the legacy he left behind. We, as a department, are better having known him and he will forever be honored and missed by the men and women of the Springdale Fire Department.

During hot and humid weather, your body's ability to cool itself is challenged in ways you may not expect. When your body heats too rapidly, or when too much fluid or salt is lost through dehydration or sweating, you may experience a heat-related illness. Stay Weather-Ready by learning the symptoms of excessive heat exposure and the appropriate responses. weather.gov/safety/heat-illness

READY.. SET… MURPH! Today is the day. Today we honor and observe Memorial Day here in the United States of America. Today we remember all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Today we pay tribute to LT Michael P. Murphy and all others who gave their lives to allow us to continue to live ours. Although today is merely one day out of the entire year, we know that these heroes deserve our utmost respect every single day. Memorial Day - Honor The Fallen. 🇺🇸
