Help save a life by donating blood that will stay in this community. Your donation alone could help save up to 3 lives. Please join us and the Springdale Police Department today, from 10am till 4pm, for our annual Boots vs Badges Blood Drive located at Fire Station #1 417 Holcomb Street.

Four years ago the department was devastated when we lost our brother and firefighter, Dean Loos. Although it’s been four years, the vacancy he left is still strongly felt. Dean was the embodiment of a firefighter and believed in the brotherhood to his very core. Today, we remember him and the legacy he left behind. We, as a department, are better having known him and he will forever be honored and missed by the men and women of the Springdale Fire Department.

Our training division is currently teaching PALS (Pediatric advanced life support) for our EMT’s and Paramedics. This course delivers education and skills practice focusing on pediatric critical care.

SFD, always learning. A group of firefighters recently finished up their hands on portion of driver/operator training. This was following a online segment, where they learned material through quizzes and tests.

Over this past week, two members of the SFD Honor Guard attended the National Honor Guard Academy hosted by BCSO. Tad Tanakatsubo, Commander of the Guard, and Tim Franklin, Assistant Commander of the Guard, graduated Friday after completing a week long academy where they learned different drills and etiquettes for different occasions.

This week two of our Captains completed FDTN's Fire ground Company Officer program. This course was developed to build a solid and functional fireground officer. Both on the fireground and back at the firehouse. Members were put in realistic scenarios that focused on communication, team building, problem solving (through prevention), training, fireground officer skills and performance. #teamspringdale #springdalefire #FDTN

Help us congratulate Springdale's newest firefighters on their graduation from the NWA Fire Training Academy!
These 6 recruits have completed an intensive and challenging 10 week training program to prepare them to serve the community and the citizens of Springdale. The recruits will spend an additional 2 weeks with our Training Division prior to being assigned to their respective shifts and stations.

READY.. SET… MURPH!
Today is the day.
Today we honor and observe Memorial Day here in the United States of America.
Today we remember all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Today we pay tribute to LT Michael P. Murphy and all others who gave their lives to allow us to continue to live ours.
Although today is merely one day out of the entire year, we know that these heroes deserve our utmost respect every single day.
Memorial Day - Honor The Fallen. 🇺🇸

This past week, C-Shift quickly extinguished a fire in a duplex. Crews contained the fire to one side of the unit, saving a majority of the structure. No injuries were reported. #teamspringdale #springdalefire

The Springdale Fire Department Benevolent Fund awarded scholarships to two graduating seniors today. These scholarships are provided to department
personnel's eligible graduates, and can continue throughout their higher
academic career. This year we awarded a total of 7 scholarships, two to
these current seniors and five to current college students. Congratulations!

The past two days, kindergarten classes from Walker Elementary visited Fire Station 6. They got to know the crews, learned a little about what it's like to be a firefighter, and about living in a firehouse. What a great group of Walker Wildcats!

This evening we held our spring pinning ceremony for all of our members who have promoted this year within the Springdale Fire Department. We also had Mayor Doug Sprouse on hand to swear in our new firefighters. Congratulations to all!
