This afternoon, crews responded to North Mountain Road for a report of a camper fire with other structures threatened. When units arrived on scene, they found the camper fully involved with fire extending to a vehicle. As they began extinguishment, firefighters noticed another residence nearby on fire. Additional crews were requested and extinguishments started on the second fire. The camper and residence sustained significant damage. There were no injuries reported. Both fires are under investigation.

This morning, two of our members, Paramedic Preston Murphy and Firefighter/EMT Josh Carpenter, were recognized with the Living the Mission Award from Northwest Medical Center. On January 15th, 2024 Northwest Medical Center needed a pediatric patient transported to Tulsa for specialty care. Weather conditions were presenting challenges to the transport decision. Although these types of transfers are not typical for us, this is one that needed to occur. These two members were assigned the task and safely delivered the patient and family to The Children's Hospital at St. Francis.
