We do not recommend giving them money or any personal information. Please be aware that we are receiving reports from customers that individuals are coming to their homes to check their water. They are NOT associated with Springdale Water Utilities. We will NEVER ask to go into your home to check or test your water. If the person does not show you an actual Springdale Water Utilities name badge and is not wearing a Springdale Water Utilities shirt or driving a vehicle with a Springdale Water Utilities logo on the door, they are not employed with Springdale Water Utilities. Additionally, many people pose as utility workers to commit crimes. Happy Thanksgiving from the City of Springdale! In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City offices will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th. Our offices will resume regular business hours on Monday, December 2nd at 8:00 a.m.

ROAD CLOSURE: Spring Creek Rd will be closed starting Monday 11/18 @ 7am through Friday 11/22 to install a pipeline. Please see attached map showing the detour route for traffic.

ROAD CLOSURE: Spring St from Emma to Spring St Grill will be closed Thursday 11/14 to through traffic from 7am to 10am. Please see attached map showing the detour route for traffic. This will be a short time road closure to demolish a building on Spring Street.

CLOSURE NOTICE- City offices will be closed today, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veterans Day. We will resume regular business hours Tuesday, November 12 at 8:00 a.m.

Lane Closure Notice: Southbound Gutensohn Rd from Huntsville to Emma will be closed sporadically Tuesday November 12th - Thursday November 14th for driveway and curb improvements to Central Jr High Entrance. Flaggers will be on scene to help direct SB traffic into the middle turn lane. Thank you for your patience at this time.

Road Closure Update: Shady Grove Road is now open to all traffic! Railroad improvements and road repairs have been completed.

I-49 LANE CLOSURE: Night work on I-49 will begin November 10 and last until November 15. Please expect one lane traffic and temporary 15 minute full lane closures of the southbound or the northbound lanes in the vicinity of the new West Emma Avenue bridge, just south of the Elm Springs Road exit from 11pm - 5am. Detour routes shown in image below.

This weekend, November 8th-10th Sam's Furniture will be holding a free mattress recycling event! Each household can bring one mattress set to Sam's furniture in Springdale or Siloam Springs to be disposed of and receive a coupon of up to $1,000 towards the purchase of a new mattress at Sam's furniture.

City departments had a pumpkin decorating contest that they could enter if they chose. We need your help to decide the winner! Please "LIKE" the picture of the pumpkin you vote for. Voting will end Thursday 11/14.

City Employees had a Chili cook-off for Fun Friday the last Friday in October. We had 15 entries, and the winning categories got a certificate and a picture with the Mayor. Congratulations to our winners! It was a fun time with delicious chili.

Due to the potential of strong, severe thunderstorms this evening, Mayor Sprouse has decided to postpone tonight's City Council Committee Meeting. The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Everyone please stay safe this evening.

Road Closure: Emma Ave and Johnson Ave from Main St to Spring St, along with a portion of Mill St will be closed Saturday November 2nd from 7am to 9pm for a cultural festival. See map for more closure details.

City Hall had a Pink Out Fun Friday on 10/18 to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

ROAD CLOSURE: Shady Grove Road will be closed to thru traffic and completely closed at the railroad crossing beginning Monday October 28th at 6am. The Arkansas-Missouri Railroad will be making improvements at the crossing. Shady Grove will remain closed until work is completed; at this time, we do not know when that will be.
