Court Services Officer
Responsibilities
Enforce orders of the Court
Ensure fines and costs are paid at the specified time ordered by the court
Enforce orders for community service
Services Provided
Alcohol / Drug Education
The Court Services Officer works with agencies that provide alcohol and drug education classes to ensure alcohol and drug offenders complete the programs defendants are ordered by the court to attend.
Community Service
Community Service may be available to persons who owe fines and costs to The Springdale District Court. The police officers in the front lobby screen people for community service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. If you are accepted to do community service, you will receive $20 per hour ($160 per day) for your community service due, which will be applied as a credit to your fines and costs. Community service is available to be done on Saturdays starting at 8:00 a.m.
You must sign up and be accepted to do community service.
Domestic Violence Education
The Court Services Officer monitors those defendants ordered to attend Domestic Violence Prevention Classes and Life Skills/Anger Management classes to ensure these offenders complete the programs ordered by the court.
House Arrest
The Court Services Officer works with a court-approved agency that monitors persons sentenced to jail time by completing the jail time sentence at home and ensuring completion ordered by the court.
Defensive Driving Education
The Court Services Officer provides information for defensive driving classes and ensures the persons complete the program ordered by the court.
