Doug Sprouse is a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas. He grew up in Springdale, where he and his family operated a small business for 35 yrs. From 1999-2008, he served on the Springdale School Board, serving as president from 2005 to 2007. In November of 2008, he was elected mayor of the City of Springdale. He was re-elected in 2012 , 2016, and 2020 without opposition. He has previously served as the Chairman of the Regional Mobility Authority, he currently serves The State of Arkansas on the nine member State Aid Street Committee, and he is has recently been appointed as a member of the State 911 Board. He's the immediate past president of the Arkansas Municipal League and continues to serve as a member of the League's Past Presidents' Advisory Council. He and his wife, Sandy, have 3 children and 9 grandchildren, all living in Northwest Arkansas.
