The Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport Authority is a regional authority that was formed in 1990 and consists of representatives from Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville, and Siloam Springs, in addition to Washington and Benton counties.
The purpose of the authority is to construct, maintain and operate the regional airport, XNA.

Two members are appointed by the Mayor to represent Springdale, and are confirmed by City Council. Representatives must be qualified electors of the city they represent. The authority has a total of 14 members who all serve six-year terms.
