Update - November 15, 2019
The City of Springdale is in the appraisal process of acquiring Right-of-Way and Easement so we can begin to relocate utilities. We are currently working with franchise utilities to get their infrastructure relocated to the outside of Right-of Way. Plans are also still in the design process with ARDOT. We do not have a set date for when the construction will begin, this will be determined by ARDOT when this project can go out for bid. We anticipate utility relocation to begin next month (December).

Update - April 25, 2018
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has retained McClelland Consulting Engineers, Inc. to perform survey work for the replacement of Pump Station Road Bridge.
On April 24, 2018, the City Council approved funding for this project from the 2018 Street Bond Construction Fund, and designated the Pump Station Road Bridge as a bond project. The City will pay project expenses utilizing funds of the 2018 Bond Construction, and ARDOT will reimburse the City of Springdale 80% of the costs of this project when the appropriate federal funds become available.
Oct. 20, 2017
Pump Station Road Bridge was irreparably damaged after the April 2017 flood. Until recently, we have been working with FEMA to evaluate the damage to Pump Station Road Bridge. FEMA finished its evaluation and it was determined the City will work through the Federal Highway Administration to replace the bridge. This will require a 20/80 funding match.
City Council voted Oct. 10 to utilize federal aid emergency relief funds for the replacement of the bridge. The Arkansas Department of Transportation will take over the engineering and construction of the bridge, and the City will be responsible for handling the right-of-way acquisition and utility adjustments. We do not currently have a timeline for when the work will be finished, but we will post updates as information becomes available.
