Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse elected president of the Arkansas Municipal League

Springdale Mayor Doug Sprouse was elected president of the Arkansas Municipal League this past week at its 83rd Convention. Mayor Sprouse has served as the first vice president for the past year. He has served on the Executive Committee from 2009-2013 and 2014 to the present, as District 3 vice president from 2013-2014, and on the State Aid Street Committee since 2013.

"It has been a pleasure to serve as the first vice president, and I am excited and eager to get to work as the new Municipal League president," said Mayor Sprouse. "The Municipal League plays a vital role in ensuring that the interests of Arkansas cities receive adequate representation on the state and national level, and my service as president will give Springdale an even stronger voice as we work together to advocate for our residents."

The Arkansas Municipal League is a service and advocacy organization for the municipalities of Arkansas. The League has a voluntary membership comprised of all 500 cities and towns in the state and was created to assist cities with information and representation in the public affairs of our state and nation.
