Professional Standards

The Springdale Police Department strives to instill professionalism in our officers. The conduct of our officers is a reflection on the police department. We welcome any input from our citizens concerning our officers.


Professional Standards Division


The Professional Standards Division investigates allegations of officer misconduct that requires more than a supervisory level counseling. These investigations are assigned by the Chief of Police.


Background Investigations


Background investigations on prospective employees are also prepared by the Professional Standards unit as well as other administrative investigations as assigned by the Chief of Police.
  1. Commendation Procedure

    To commend or compliment the performance of a Springdale Police Department employee, notify a Police Department Supervisor by coming in person to the Springdale Police Department anytime or by calling the Police Department's non emergency number.

  2. Complaint Procedure

    It is the policy of the Springdale Police Department to investigate all allegations and complaints of misconduct against any member of the department.
